To entertain both parents and children during school vacations, the hall for Culture and Entertainment at Riosul, a shopping mall located in Botafogo, in the South Zone of the city is presenting, until February 28, the children’s play entitled "Charlie and Lola, The Play – from the TV to the Theatre". Based upon the British animation series with the same title, the play tells the story of a brother and a sister and he way they face the little adventures of their daily lives, while learning new things and helping each other out.

Directed by British director Roman Stefanski, "Charlie and Lola" is a show that uses four wooden dolls, handled by two actors on stage. All the voices in the show are children’s voices, recorded by the actors who usually dub the cartoon aired in Brazil.

The animation series "Charlie and Lola", inspired in the award-winning books by British writer Lauren Child and produced by Tiger Aspect Productions for BBC, has been adapted to the theatre in England, and has been brought to Brazil by the couple of television hosts Luciano Huck and Angélica and by Aventura Entretenimento.
