The show “Beatles num céu de diamantes” is back in Rio

The musical is re-opening in Botafogo

One of the most praised shows directed by Charles Möeller and Claudio Botelho, “Beatles num céu de diamantes”, is back in Rio for a very short time. After being watched by more than 140 thousand viewers, the musical is back at Espaço Rio Sul de Cultura e Entretenimento, in Botafogo, in the South Zone, starting on March 05.

With a simple and unprecedented proposal, “Beatles num céu de diamantes” offers a theatrical look upon the material that was brilliantly created by the quartet from Liverpool. The great hits by Jonh, Paul, George and Ringo are transported onto the stage, accompanied by piano, percussion and a cello, on a spectacle that is focused only in good music, without dialogues. Among the 50 songs selected to compose the musical there are “Help”, “I wanna hold your hand”, “Lucy in the sky with diamonds”, “Let it be”, and others.

The musical shall be given new scenery, besides having less pops: only chairs, suitcases, chalk and umbrellas.

- This format has been tested in Lyon, France, with a new cast configuration, and it has worked so well that we have adopted it for the new season in Rio, and it shall continue on all the trips around Brazil, as well in the European season which is beginning in September this year - says Claudio Botelho.

Having been awarded two Shell awards (musical arrangement and the work altogether), “Beatles num céu de diamantes” has been rated as one pf the greatest hits in the 2008 theatre season and it has been to cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, São Paulo and Lyon, in France.
