Favelas Chapéu Mangueira e Babilônia (Chapéu Mangueira and Babilônia slums)

The Association of Dwellers at Chapéu Mangueira has a project of community tourist services and its income is versed into the social actions within the community.

There are tours such as the ecological trekking at the APA at Babilônia, samba and Capoeira lessons. That project has been developed according to the new reality of pacification policies in Carioca slums.

The tour must be accompanied by guides accredited by the Association of Dwellers. Here you can find some suggestions for itineraries:
